ICE Agency operates under the standards of the ABU, NEN 4400-1, SNA, VCU, Certified Flexhome, RIV, RIA en ECABO. Of course this is nice but where are these certifications really stand  for? We like to clarify the recognitions because there are a lot of them.

The ABU (General Union for Employment Agency's) is a leading union of employment agency's in The Netherlands. With over 370 members it represents more than 60 percent of the market and makes it the largest employers' organization within the employment industry. Members of the ABU realize together more than 286 million employment hours per year. Importantly, the ABU also ensures that its members must be checked for compliance with the ABU-cao! The 370-ABU members stand for quality and reliability. They are periodically screened by a Supervising Institution (CI) which ensures consistent quality.
The NEN 4400-1 is an independent label for labor agencies under the supervision of the Foundation of Labor Standards and has thus taken over the role of foundations known as RIA, RIV, SFT, SVU and VRO. SNA-certified lenders and (sub) contractors need to prove the hallmark of Labor Standards Foundation among others that their (personnel) records are in order, time that they pay enough taxes and need to prove that their employees are entitled to work in the Netherlands. With this label the agency's protect their clients as much as possible agains the consequences of failure paid taxes and claims for working with people who are not authorized to work in The Netherlands. In short, the Labor Standards Foundation to the registered companies are reliable partners for companies who want to work with temps.
VCU Safety Checklist for employment agencies. The checklist is a comprehensive questionnaire that is used as screening and screening system for employment agencies. More and more clients (and contractors) recognize the added value of VCA / VCU certification. An increasing number of companies are also in the certification process. Certification often requires considerable efforts of a company. The overall HSE management system is investigated. For that reason alone, but also the effectiveness of VCA / VCU as a control tool to ensure, it is important to only require certification from a contractor if there really is risky business in the sense of VCA / VCU.Certified Flex Home ABU and the Dutch Federation of Conciliation and Employment Agencies (NBBU) have jointly developed the sticker Certified Flex Home. Purpose of the sticker is recognision of a house/ company who is a responsible partner for housing employers. For certification they check for: decent housing, available m2 living space per person, equipment, fire safety and emergency information. RIV is the Register for meat industry. For employers and employees it is important that  temps are working for the same conditions as for permanent staff. In spring 2002 the "flexible labor meat covenant" has signed. Companies in this industry only work with contractors who have declared support for these agreements to keep. In addition, together with the LTO, temp agencies and the Ministries of Finance and of Social Affairs and Employment in collaboration with the 2007 establishment of a Dutch standard for flexible working, The NEN 4400. The CAO meat Meat Industry Clients only then agreed that the obligations contained therein, if they use certified contractors who are registered in the register http://www.normeringarbeid.nl/. sector under "meat". In practice this means that contractors routinely monitored for purposes of regulation and payment of taxes and social security and pension contributions. The Register http://www.normeringarbeid.nl/ are all certified companies listed.
RIA stands for Agricultural Register. In the past few years has worked hard on developing the ISO standard 4400-01 and 4400-02. In addition, the Foundation launched Labor Standards. This foundation manages the ISO 4400 standards and certification of employment to communicate about politics, press, employment and hirer. This means that a long cherished wish of many parties has fulfilled: A standard for employment agencies in the green sector. LTO Netherlands has decided to keep www.kiesria.nl. At the site of the Labor Standards Foundation will find all certified agencies, including the "old" RIA firms. You can choose to register in the companies specialized in agriculture and horticulture.
